In Owen St leading off Coppice St there are 7 Public Houses.lol The only thing I can see for Coppice St is The Saxhorn Inn, mentioned under Public Houses Past and Present. There's a Gervase Paganel who founded The Priory in 1161 and there are still 2 streets named after him today. It mentions 'early' families: Dudleys/Whorwoods/Nightingales and has bmd's for them from the 1500's and a brilliant Pedigree Family Tree of the Dudleys which would be of enormous help to anyone tracing that family. Dudley Library has only 1 book on Tipton - A History of Tipton by John Parkes 1915. ![]()
